My First Toon

The first toon I rolled on the new server was an Orc Death Knight named Oglubber.  After questing through the starting zone, I picked up mining and skinning so I could make some money.  However, this also meant that I needed an Auction House mule.  So I rolled a troll rouge named Oclubber.  I read on the Internet that the fastest way to get him to Orgrimmar was to dive into the ocean and get killed, rez in in Ratchet and fly to Orgrimmar.  Yes FLY - for some reason the flight path was there.  However, I want to mention that I should have sent him a few gold before he left the starting zone, for some reason I could not find a mail box in Ratchet to get some money for the flight.  So I took the boat over to Booty Bay to find a mailbox.  But long story short - I have a level 1 rouge in Orgrimmar who handles all my money.

My Mission Begins

I just recently decided to start this blog.  My plan is to document the leveling of my toons from 1 to 85.  Yes I did say toons.  I am going to start and level multiple toons of various class and races at the same time.  In the days to come I will introduce you to each of them.

Last year I used an in game guide to level an alliance druid to level 80.  However due to my over reliance on the guide, I really missed out on much of the game.  I did no instances, battlegrounds nor group quest, the guide recommended skipping these because of the time it would take to form a group to do these things.  When I reached level 80, I started queuing for instances, but really did not know how to really plan by toon.

So my new goal is to start over on a new server.  In fact, I have decided to change from Alliance to Horde to see things from a different perspective.  To get started I decided to roll a Death Knight.  I figured since I already had a level 80 on another server, this would give me a great way to get some gold to start my new journey.

BTW, I should mention that I am starting this blog a little later than when I started this journey.  In fact, my DK started two days after the Cataclysm expansion came out.  In my next post I will introduce him to you but  for now it is time to start questing.
